For this project, I built a segmented ring sculpture with a metal patination backdrop. The challenge was deciding what to create with leftover Wenge wood scraps from a previous project. Instead of discarding the scraps, I imposed a design restriction on whether to use them or throw them away. I used inspiration from a past project and the constraint of using the Wenge offcuts to design this project.
