Button-fix Type 3 Flush fasteners: an overview

This one-minute video introduces the Button-fix Type 3 Flush panel connector. Like the original Type 3, it connects parallel panels with a simple, push-on engagement. However, its narrower, oval form makes the Type 3 Flush easier to fully rebate or recess into a panel of at least 18mm (3/4") thick, connecting the panels with no gap in between. Its compact form also allows Type 3 Flush to be surface-mounted onto battens or a frame as narrow as 25mm (1"), or to be installed closer to the edge of a panel compared to the triangular Type 3. Like all Button-fixes, installation is quick and easy, using the Button Marker accessory to correctly position the Button. Routing the oval recess is also easy, using the Multijig accessory - simply use the same template as Type 1 and Type 1 Bonded. Type 3 Flush is ideal for furniture construction or shopfitting installations where decorative panels need to be a tight fit to the internal carcass, with no gap in between. Its push & click engagement allows panels to be fitted into tight corners, or at the end-of-run, where there is no clearance for slide & click connectors like the Button-fix Type 1.
