Is your GM vehicle (like this 2013 Cadillac SRX) suffering from a failed ABS module, heavy steering, or power steering warning messages? What if the part is no longer available from the dealer? Don't worry! In this video, I show you PROOF that you can successfully program a used, junkyard ABS module on a Global A architecture vehicle. This fix can save you hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars and get your car back on the road safely. We'll walk through the entire process from start to finish. 🔧 TOOLS USED: Software: GM Techline Connect (SPS2 Programming) Interface: J2532 Pass-Thru Device (I'm using the Autel MaxiFlash JVCI) Hardware: A standard Windows laptop ⚠️ THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP: When you get to the programming options in SPS2, DO NOT just select "Program." You MUST select the "Replace and Reprogram" option for a used module. This is the key to making the whole process work! 💻 THE PROCESS: After selecting the correct option, the process was surprisingly simple. I followed the on-screen prompts, and the initial programming took only about a minute. Afterward, a message appeared stating, "The vehicle is processing the updates." BE PATIENT! This screen remained for about 7-10 minutes before I received the final success message from SPS2, confirming the module was accepted. ✅ VERIFICATION & RESULTS: After programming, I scanned the car and found all the old ABS codes had changed from "Current" to "History." I cleared all DTCs, restarted the vehicle, and the codes were gone for good! The result? The heavy steering was gone, the "Service Power Steering" message disappeared, and the car drove perfectly. This is a game-changer, especially for modules that are discontinued and no longer available new. Thanks for watching!
