Friday morning coffee ride before work on the Royal Enfield Bullet 500. I’ve been working 8 days straight and needed a quiet ride before the day kicks in.
On the way, I started thinking about café racer culture, not the polished or romanticized version, but the simple idea of early morning rides, coffee stops, and carving out small moments before a 9–5 day begins. I also had a funny interaction with a security guard who thought my camera setup was something else entirely.
I end up thinking about how that culture shows up today, what it might look like in the US, and how even a simple coffee run can feel like a version of it.
Just a reflective ride, some thoughts, and a push into the weekend.
