This was the first day of Calculus 1 and is an actual classroom lecture. I just did some examples of computing limits graphically and then did some more examples from the next section(1.3) which is computing limits analytically. These lectures follow the book Calculus by Larson and Edwards. Here is the book https://amzn.to/472xvYc (affiliate link). This lecture follows Larson's Calculus book, section 1.2. Here is my review of Larson's Calculus book https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPBsC8PHpqg& I actually didn't do any limits numerically until we did the homework, but I stopped the recording for that part. Summary of Topics - Informal Definition of a Limit - Remarks regarding limits, the existence of a limit, and the notion of one sided limits - Examples of computing limits from a graph - Examples of computing limits analytically(this is actually 1.3) If you enjoyed this video please consider subscribing for more content: https://www.youtube.com/user/themathsorcerer?sub_confirmation=1 Please leave any comments or questions in the comment section below.
