Calculus-I is a short course for all B.Tech students at IIT Hyderabad. The syllabus covers:
(1) Sequence of real numbers: Limit of a sequence, properties of convergent sequences, and examples,
monotone and Cauchy sequences.
(2) Series of real numbers:
Infinite series, positive series, tests for convergence and divergence,
integral test, alternating series, Leibniz test.
(3) Differential Calculus:
Continuity and differentiability of a function of single variable, statement
of Rolle’s Theorem, Lagrange’s mean value theorem and applications.
