Ok, calling this box with a removable top a cabinet feels like a bit of a stretch but either way it marks a milestone for me in the build. This video leans more towards woodworking than van building but I thought it worth sharing.
Building a box out of wood seems like something that should be fairly easy, but it is definitely not as simple as it would appear. Making all faces square and true can be difficult, and in this case where there is a removable top, attempting to make two separate squares line up exactly is, at least IMO, an exercise in frustration. So the solution is to make a single box and cut it apart, which is something woodworkers have been doing forever. The trick is doing that safely! Here's the video, hopefully it helps others that are working on a van, or even just want to build a decorative wood box!
