The Madang National Court has ordered Madang District to take lead in the repairing and rehabilitating of Madang town Roads.
Justice David Cannings said the present road condition is a direct result of neglect by responsible authorities.
The provincial government over an eight-year period did not provide adequate funds in its annual budget for road maintenance and rehabilitation.
