The Cape Mears Lighthouse is located on the Oregon coast in Tillamook County. Now a State Scenic Viewpoint, it was built in 1889. At only 39 feet (almost 12 meters) high, it is the shortest lighthouse on the Oregon coast. But, owing to its placement on the promontory of Cape Mears, this worked well.
