In this video, we highlight a Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) workshop delivered in collaboration with CARE Vanuatu and the Vanuatu National Disaster Management Office (NDMO). The workshop brought together area administrators, community disaster committees from Tanna Island, and community representatives—including women, people with disabilities, youth, and community leaders across southern Vanuatu—to strengthen inclusive disaster planning.
Too often, people with disabilities are left out or overlooked during emergencies. Sessions like this help communities understand how to include people with disabilities in disaster response plans, so everyone is supported when disasters strike.
