Carnations: Making a Salt Print

This is a short and abbreviated demonstration of making a salt print, or salted paper print. The negative I used was printed with inkjet on a transparency sheet. The photo was originally taken on my digital camera. The salted paper process was invented prior to the 1850s and was pretty much replaced by the 1860s. It involves a reaction between ammonium chloride and silver nitrate while exposed to daylight (UV light).
