I was born in South Carolina in 1950. When I used to play for Débutante parties and similar rich people gatherings, the band would have to spend breaks in the kitchen so we didn't consort with maidens of privilege.However; being forbidden fruit did offer advantage. Carolina is a beautiful place and my home. There are many wonderful people, but she has never treated her minorities or poor people very well.
