Carving Techniques, Volume 1: Overlapping

In this one, I am starting a new series detailing different techniques, tricks, methods, and concepts to help teach carving with a rotary tool! I have found that it is very easy to find extremely beginner level tutorials and very advanced tutorials when it comes to rock carving, which can make it very difficult to get started with carving, as you are left to just figure it all out for yourself. This series is my response to that issue and will hopefully help others avoid the difficulties and trial and error I had to go through by teaching myself how to carve with a rotary tool over the course of 8 years. This will be a regular series, and i plan on posting them semi-regularly. This first one will detail the technique of overlapping, a very easy trick that is a great starting point when it comes to branching out your patterns!
