Cascading Scales
Hey everyone! Here's the next episode of Scales & Tales with Cascading Scales. I've had a number of requests for "more scale lessons" along with requests for this concept/idea, so I figured hitting both of those requests in the same video made sense - so let's dive in! This lesson revolves around the concept of "cascading scales," which was pioneered by "Mister Guitar" himself - Chet Atkins. From his classic music and massive influence, numerous players have explored/adapted this idea into their playing - including Lenny Breau, Larry Coryell, Danny Gatton, Eric Johnson, Michael Hedges, Steve Trovato, and many more! The ideas shared in this lesson include eye-opening cascading pentatonic scales in various keys and explores major and minor scales using this approach, not to mention some slick cascading scale ideas blended with natural harmonics from the late-great Larry Coryell, and much more! Needless to say, if you're a LNL viewer that asked of "more scale lesson" or cascading scales in particular, a player wanting to add some mind-blowing ideas to their practice routine , a guitarist wanting to add some top-shelf ideas to their bag of tricks, or maybe you're just curious what all the fuss is about - this lesson is totally for you!
