This bench has been at my family home for years, sitting in the garden, slowly rotting away for years. I felt it was time to give it a face lift, and gave me an excuse to make another Christmas present for the family.
Legs are the original cast iron pieces, sand blasted and repainted.
The legs were taken from old school science benches made from iroko wood, broken down, ripped to length, shaped and finished to give the bench a contempory look for the more modern garden.
Took me nearly 2 years to finish this! But worth it to see the family enjoy and use it again.
