How to fix P0605 Code: Internal Control Module ROM Error
A P0605 code is set when the computer (PCM/ECM) self-diagnostics detects a fault in its internal ROM, which stores critical software and calibration data needed for engine and transmission operation.
The ROM within the PCM/ECM contains the firmware or software that controls vehicle functions. If this data is corrupted due to a failed software update, power supply issue, or a defect, the PCM/ECM may fail its self-diagnostic checks.
Possible Causes of a P0605 Code:
Bad Battery or Terminals
Charging System Problems
