While I wait for bits for the carbs, I am getting on with cleaning the major parts of the engine and discovering what bits are in the boxes.
The bike (CB550K3) was almost completely dismantled and boxed up when I bought it, I didn't have time to touch it so it got put in a shed and forgotten for 11 years. I do not know how long before I got it that it had been taken apart, but it was in a seriously filthy state. Whoever had dismantled it was quite thorough and organized so most parts are in separate tubs and boxes. They had also bought a lot of replacement bits which I will find as I check through the boxes.
