CBF Promo 2010

CBF stands for Channel Bongo Fleva, a music program playing the best in East African Music. The program's idea to educate and entertain South Africans. But also to make them aware that their neighbours living in the same community with African decent, has also a rich culture to share. We also tackle the everyday on going issues of Xenophobia within the country. Although we do not have at this stage sufficient funds to create an online and mobile infrastructure - allowing CBF to not only be a Thursday night program but an everyday fun communicative langauage. We hope to find sponsors who would have an interest to invest in this initiative. Our program has a primetime slot every Thursdays at 9pm, on Cape Town TV with no less than 90 000 (July 2010) viewers per month. This includes a repeat of the program on Saturdays with another primetime spot at 8h30pm. The Broadcaster Cape Town TV (CTV) has a total viewership of 1 232 550 (June 2010). This clearly shows the popularity of CBF, which contribute about 13% of CTV's viewership.
