At Centennial College’s Mechanical Engineering Technology Design program, you will participate in courses that will on the design and development of various mechanical devices and equipment, through both theory and practical application. You’ll get a solid foundation of engineering science and skills, including computer-assisted drafting and manufacturing (CAD/CAM), the industry standard. Best of all, you won’t just be learning at a desk. About one-quarter of the program time will be spent on project work that will simulate workplace assignments by relating what you’ve learned in the classroom to the actual design, manufacture and testing of equipment.Lab courses within the program will further teach you to plan, schedule, design, build and manage projects in a teamwork environment using the school’s machine shop, CNC machines and rapid prototyping equipment.
