This is a portrait I painted as a gift for my father in law. I wanted to portray him as "Cernunnos", the Celtic God of hunting, but without the usual animal antlers ( although I did toy around with an antler-like crown for a while! ) Instead I turned him into a king-like character that oversees and judges all woodland hunting activities. I also put some inside jokes in there as well! Painted with Procreate on the Ipad, it was then printed on a 30X22 inches canvas.
