Explains the limitations of Fourier Transform and corresponding solution for the same using concept of the Laplace and Z-Transforms with physical interpretations and their relationship with Fourier Transform. It also explains the physical mapping of S-plain and Z-plain with requirements of region of convergence. Finally it briefly introduces the relationship of Z-transforms with DTFT, DFT and FFT.
