This is the jig I made to save my hands while making coils for chainmail. Its simple and easy plus it makes the ends clean for doing lots of coils very quickly and cleanly. Its just a block of wood with 3 holes the first with the hole for the mandril on one side then on the other the hole for the size of the coil on the mandril and in the middle one hole for the wire to enter.
