How to change a brief on a patient in bed. A secret of the trade is to put on 2 pair of gloves. Once you have removed the dirty linen from the patient/client, remove the soiled gloves. This will leave you with clean gloves on and will diminish the chance of you getting the clean linen and bed soiled. I also called the bed pad a chuxs. The chux is the blue pad. Also many facilities don't allow the use of a bed pad, a church and brief together. All three can create and hold moisture which can potentially lead to skin breakdown.
