Before forming the duo, Cassandra Lucas and Charisse Rose were backup singers for Sybil for two years. Their first two songs, "Stroke You Up" and "Foolin' Around," were hits produced by R. Kelly. "Stroke You Up" reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. Their debut album, Changing Faces, released in 1994, went gold thanks to these hits. They also contributed to the song "Freedom" for the movie "Panther" and released songs for other movie soundtracks.
