Researchers Pete Boyd & Andy Ash take us through the four main themes that were drawn from their study - ‘Changing Teachers’ Beliefs through the Whole-Class Approach of a Mastery Maths Programme’ - in which they analysed multiple maths lessons from real UK classrooms. One of the key findings was the significance of a textbook’s presence during a lesson, listen to how Pete’s perception of textbooks gradually changed.
