Once you're ready to start working on your own visual novel, you'll want to create a new folder where you can keep the project files for easy access. You can then choose in the preferences section of the Ren'Py Launcher to use that folder as the projects directory. In that folder, you can have many projects that Ren'Py will then list in the projects list so you can pick and choose the project you want to work on.
