How to easily change UT139C's backlight timeout. This should also work with other multimeters that use the same DTM0660L IC.
This hack was originally done by Kerry D. Wong. He has ennoLogic eM860T and his method to program the eeprom without desoldering it needed just minor modifications to make it work with UT139C. Like Kerry mentioned, eeprom also contains calibration and other configuration data, so make sure to not write to wrong addresses. Also consider taking a backup before writing anything to the eeprom.
