Channel Introduction

Welcome to my youtube channel. My name is Kian Wee and I am a self-taught data analyst. This channel will be focusing on creating data analytics tutorial and projects that will potentially help those that are interested in getting into data analytics path. When I first created my discord channel to help guide those that want to pursue similar career path, I wasn’t expecting huge amount of members to join. Back then, I had put in an enormous amount of time to create useful exercises that can help my members and my intention was to develop a platform to get everyone’s hands dirty on purposeful projects. These projects will test their understanding on the topics, provide them with useful experience and hopefully, help them to get their dream job. However, I also noticed that text-based content are hard to absorb and since everyone is heavily attached to fast content from social media, their daily attention span is severely depleted. Expecting them to absorb my text-based content will not be an efficient way so I have decided to try making video content instead. For start, I will be creating tutorial-based video (Python, SQL, R, Tableau, web scrapping and dashboards (R shiny for R programmers and Plotly + Flask for python developers). These tutorials will form the foundation of what every data analyst need to know. After which, I will be focusing on creating project-based videos. These videos will not be taking data directly from Kaggle but instead will be focusing on scrapping data from the internet. Additionally, I will be talking about how to ensure data readiness in your organisation and where or how to start. I have a concrete plan on what content to create for the next 6 months and I look forward to provide you with quality contents every week!
