In this lecture we take a look at the respiratory system in mammals and compare this to how other animals exchange their gases with the outside world. It is an important process to get the required oxygen to the cells and the carbon dioxide waste out of the body. We also look at what adaptations certain animals have made to become more efficient with exchanging oxygen for carbon dioxide.
