The act of combining human intelligence and machine intelligence overcomes the limitations of each other and the outcomes are better than either humans or machines could achieve alone.
Artificial intelligence and augmented intelligence systems are both built on technologies such as machine learning, natural language processing, and predictive analytics. But the goal of an artificial intelligence system is to simulate human cognitive capabilities in a system that can function independently of human agents.
By contrast, the goal of an augmented intelligence system is to enhance human intelligence, enabling a human–machine collaboration to get work done.
The boundaries between human and machine responsibilities continue to change with advances in machine intelligence, until we get to singularity, do you think is it far from here? Some people say in science fiction that the machines will take over and we will become slaves, etc, but in reality, It is up to us, humans, to determine how and when machine intelligence should be used.
