A good friend of mine passed along to me this digitally controlled drill press sold by Aldi, under their Ferrex brand.
Small, compact, light weight, it seems to do basic jobs fine. The laser alignment seems a little off, but not that big a deal if you align manually anyway.
The motor in it runs pretty smooth, though I don't know how its power compares since all I have is a manual cranked drill press haha.
The quality of my drill bits though probably leaves a lot to be desired so isn't a fair comparison unless I put in good bits.
Overall, it is a usable drill press for light duties I feel, and easy to move around in a workshop.
