Billy Miller wrote this tune for noted Northumbrian band The Cheviot Ranters. Another band member, George Mitchell, wrote a dance to go with it. It needs Northumbrian pipes, I feel, but in the time available that wasn't going to happen and I thought I would inflict the fiddle on you instead! I did use the hummelchen for a harmony line though. It's usually somewhat brisker than this but my lack of expertise on the fiddle limits the speed. Recorder harmony to distract from the hanging-on-by-a-wing-and-a-prayer fiddle playing second time through!
