Chicken Kievs
Here is a step by step video of my chicken kievs. I hope you enjoy the video. Please let me know your thoughts. Very important rule to remember! ALWAYS WASH YOUR HANDS WHEN WORKING WITH RAW CHICKEN. especially before touching any other food. Just something that I forgot to mention whilst filming. Ingredients: 1 pack of unsalted butter 1tsp, of Thyme 3 cloves of fresh crushed garlic, (more if you like a stronger garlic taste) Panko bread crumbs Salt Black pepper Garlic butter filling: Place butter, thyme and crushed garlic in a bowl and mix until combined. Scrape butter on to a small sheet of grease proof paper and freeze for 15 minutes until firm, then cut to fill the holes. (see video). Bread crumbs. Place bread crumbs into a bowl and season with salt and black pepper. Method. Cut a pocket into the fat end of the chicken breast. Stuff the chicken and block the hole with some extra chicken. Place in a fridge for at least 1 hour: Place the breast into flour and egg 3 times and then the Crumbs: Preheat oven to 180°C / 350°F. Fry the prepared chicken at 160degrees for 5 minutes or if you do not have a deep fat fryer you can Heat oil in a wok on medium heat. Carefully place chicken in the oil and cook, turning once or twice, until golden (2 – 3 minutes). It will still be raw inside. Then Bake: Place chicken on a rack on a baking tray and bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until the internal temperature of the chicken is 65°C / 150°F. Pierce the top so you don't cause butter leakage! Rest for 2 minutes, then serve, sprinkled with a pinch of parsley and vegetables of your choice.
