CHIT CHAT - journals
G'day FRIENDS! So I got a few comments about the types of journals I use and prefer, so I thought it would be easier to answer with a quick (not very quick at all) video! Excuse the Artist's Loft rant in the middle of the video, I don't know if I made my point clearly, so if there's any confusion: - you can make anything work - not all cheaper supplies are bad - investing in supplies is just that, an investment - working with supplies that work for you inspires more creativity I guess what I'm trying to say is that you can bake a cake with a 90 cent home brand cake mix, or you can bake one with Betty Crocker mix for $4... You can make the cheaper cake to perfection, and have a nice cake, assuming you already possess the skills to bake a great cake... But if you are a less experienced baker, and want a better chance at a nice cake, it would make sense to buy the Betty Crocker mix... in my opinion. Like I said, you can make anything work, there are millions of YouTube videos where artist create art with cheaper supplies, but they are not beginners. They have an understanding of the mediums and most of the time say they "could" do it but it was "easier" with their more expensive products. Student grade products have become much more affordable in recent years, especially when stores offer coupons and sales, so even making the jump to student grade will open you up to new possibilities when you're creating My goodness, I ranted in the video now Im ranting here! hahahaha Anyway, enjoy and be Ultra FAB today :) James.
