been working on upgrading the game's underlying rhythm code to support dynamic tempo changes! this feature is implemented as part of the music playback and not just the battle system, so any part of the game that synchronizes to the beat will Just Work with tempo changes.
this is something i've been meaning to get around to for over a year, so it's really nice to finally have it implemented. the new code also supports speed-up and slow-down effects, meaning we can potentially do a lot more fun stuff with spell effects and support enemies in the future.
(the actual battle featuring this Harpjaw enemy probably won't feature these tempo changes -- i just made a debug variant of it to test out the new systems.)
