Christmas Plaid Pillow - Crochet Tutorial

This video shows how to make a buffalo plaid design using two different colored yarns in a technique called tapestry crochet. I’ve seen buffalo plaid usually created using 3 different colors of yarn (light, medium, and dark shade of same color), but since red and green mixed makes brown, I wanted to use the red and green yarns together instead of brown yarn. To compensate for this, try to crochet a little looser with the single yarn (or use a bigger hook) if you want them even. (I personally, didn’t mind the solid stitches being slightly smaller. In the end, once all sewn together, it looked fine and hardly noticeable). *Use a 20x20 pillow insert for a fuller, fatter pillow, though it might make stitching the last side closed slightly more difficult.
