Chronometer rate and error calculation - Example 2

This video uses an example to explain the procedure of calculating the chronometer rate and error, based on its comparisons with the GMT time. A chronometer is a device (clock) kept on the ship's bridge that provides the GMT (Greenwich Mean Time). Often, the chronometer runs ahead (error fast) or behind (error slow) the GMT. A ship's officer is required to calculate the daily rate and resulting error of chronometer to correct the clock so that it reflects the correct GMT time.
