Cinefile 2015

Please refer to the description below for a full list of music and films used. What a wonderful year it’s been. Calling 2015 a successful year in motion pictures would be an incredibly vast understatement. To a large degree, our theater experiences were raised to towering new heights, our heartstrings were pulled, and our emotions were manipulated in the most beautiful ways possible. If that’s not pure cinema, I don’t know what is. It’s funny – this is my third year doing one of these, and each time has become increasingly more difficult than the last. Although the editing process for this year’s project has been nothing short of a tremendous joy, it’s also been an emotionally draining one. 2015’s grand cinematic scope really inspired me to take bolder and more daring risks, stay true to myself, and most importantly, make something greater than what I initially set out to create. Cinefile 2015 owes a lot to the loved ones, friends, films, albums, and trailers that inspired it. Trying to come up with the right way to show that gratitude and wide range of emotion was extremely difficult. Or, as the opening line from favorite film of the year goes, “I have no idea how to tell this story.
