Six ring-trials fell in sequence, each one pushing me past 500 points, until even the harsher variant on Left Difficulty A yielded the same tribute. The old machine wanted panic, clowns launched in rough arcs, balloons packed tight above, and no forgiveness for poor timing. I gave it rhythm instead. The true proving came in the colors overhead. I stripped away the white row, then the blue, then the red, reading each rebound like a hunter reading tracks through overgrowth. Later I cleared the whole balloon field in the deeper game mode, and that is when the relic stopped feeling playful and started showing its teeth. In the Gaia Era, fragile things and dangerous things often share the same shape until the moment you mistime them. I left no clown behind, carried a run past 1000 points, and closed the dive with the full circus mastered. A foolish little shard on the surface, perhaps, but even foolish relics can teach the hands how to keep faith with momentum.
