While animals share many common characteristics, there are some characteristics unique to certain animal groups. In this video, I'll describe how we can classify animals by the type of digestion they have (incomplete or complete) and if they have complete digestion, if they are protostomes or deuterostomes. Animals can also be classified by their type of symmetry: asymmetry, bilateral symmetry, and radial symmetry.
