Cleaning up trees with FIRE!!!!!!

In this installment of Jamo On The Go we are harnessing the power of fire to clean up a tree pile that has been getting out of hand since we moved onto our property. As a volunteer fire fighter I am increasingly cautious when it comes to burning things. With a few simple things you too can be a safe burner and use fire to clean up your property. Some things I make sure of is I never burn without water close by. It doesn’t take a lot of water to keep flames manageable if you know how to use it. I also make sure I never burn alone, having someone close by to keep extra eyes and hands helps keep people and property safe. The biggest thing is using the weather to your advantage In this instance I waited until after some rain so the yard and trees surrounding this pile were wet but the inside of the pile was dry. I took advantage of one of the calm days that are so rare in North Dakota and when things started burning it only took about 3 hours for the pile to be gone.
