To make clear ice you need a mold like this:

Regular molds without the insulated reservoir makes cloudy ice. To get clearer ice, try filtered/reverse osmosis water or hot water in the ice maker. The clear ice looks better, tastes better, melts slower. Unfortunately it is very inefficient to make clear ice as it takes about 24hrs and only makes 2. There are other products on Amazon that make more than 2 at a time, but they would take up more freezer space.
