Clearing Fence Line

Today, we're on Paul's property clearing a fence line. We started by having the property surveyed, which gives us an accurate reference point for clearing the land. In our township, fences must be placed at least two feet from the property line, so it's important to know where yours is. This requirement may vary in other areas, so be sure to check your local regulations. For our setup, we’ll be using a 4-5 foot buffer to allow for easy access outside the fence, helping to keep it clear of fallen branches and new growth, especially since the fence will be electrified. We’ll walk you through the tools we’re using and even bring out the John Deere lawn tractor to make the job a bit easier. The weather worked out perfectly for this project – since it’s January, everything has died back, and with almost no snow, we had easier access to the forest floor for this cleanup.
