Cloud Variables Broken? | Scratch Live Coding
Experimenting with Cloud Variables in Scratch for the first time. There was some behavior that I didn't fully understand. If you understand what was happening, or had any questions about anything I said, leave a comment. The cloud data history for these experiments is illuminating. Many of the larger values that looked like they got set properly never got recorded in the history. https://scratch.mit.edu/cloudmonitor/423068156/ I haven't reviewed the audio, but I remember I may have said that 256 digits was a byte. That's completely not true. A byte has 256 different possible values (approx 10^2), whereas 256 decimal digits has 10^256 different values. Subscribe to the channel!
