Here I take a close look at the operation of the common "nowforever" VFD that is included with many of the Chinese CNC 6040, 3040, 3020, and 6090 routers. I will walk through programming the VFD to operate three different ways, as well as wiring up the VFD to operate from a USB motion control card via Mach3.
