Coastal River Fun

For the first official canoe trip of the season. I decided to book a campsite, at Tyee campground and paddle the well-known Siltcoos Canoe Trail to the Pacific Ocean. Come along on this solo overnight adventure. The trail is a little over 3 miles long from the lake to the ocean. I will be cutting a little short starting at Tyee campground.  Stats; The trip down measured out at 2.93 miles taking 1 hour an 20 minutes.  The trip back took slightly longer at 1 hour an 34 minutes.  Fighting the current and a slight headwind. What is the difference?  Although I paddle and open Canoe as you see, I do use a double blade. I am a robust paddler faster than most.
