Cod.Act: πTon im MAK

in Kooperation mit Wien Modern Das MAK zeigt gemeinsam mit Wien Modern bewegliche Klangobjekte des Schweizer Künstlerduos Cod.Act. Die beiden vielfach international ausgezeichneten Künstler André und Michel Décosterd bewegen sich an der Schnittstelle von Skulptur, Architektur, Performance, Sound und Musik. Maschinen und Objekte, die Räume und Bewegungen in Klang übersetzen und dabei ein überraschendes, quasi organisches Eigenleben entfalten, stehen in ihrer künstlerischen und wissenschaftlichen Arbeit im Fokus. In der MAK Säulenhalle und im MAK Forum entfalten die 2017 entstandenen Klangskulpturen πTon und πTon/2 ihre autonome Bewegung, gepaart mit eindrucksvollem Sound. Zum Start des Projekts im Rahmen der offiziellen Eröffnung des Wien Modern Festivals 2024 performen Cod.Act am Mittwoch, 30.10.2024, um 18.30 Uhr live in der MAK Säulenhalle. The works of brothers André and Michel Décosterd, recipients of many international awards, are located on the interface between sculpture, architecture, performance, sound, and music and overwhelm audiences with their sheer presence. In the MAK Columned Main Hall and the MAK Forum, the sound sculptures πTon und πTon/2, created in 2017, unfold their autonomous choreography accompanied by a remarkable sound sequence.
