Coding Bootcamp Don'ts

"don'ts" to be exact. The verbiage gets kinda weird but you know what I mean :) Please comment if there's anything I mentioned that you'd like to hear in greater detail. Some things I touch on (but not the full list): --Don’t attend coding bootcamp if you are looking for an easy way to change careers. You will be very disappointed. --Don’t explode at the teacher during class. I understand you can get frustrated but you need to realize it's just as hard to teach a coding bootcamp too! Teachers have to help different learning styles of people at different coding levels. And on top of that, they are required to go through the material fast and to push you past your limit. Put yourself in their shoes too. --Don’t try to learn every language at once. Just because you are familiar with 10 different languages and frameworks will not make you a good web developer. --Don’t ignore the pre-course work. --Don’t expect to absorb all the information just by attending class. ---Don’t think you’re the only one who is struggling. --Don’t expect your life to change without putting in the work. --Don’t expect to be a legit Web Developer (unless you have previous coding experience). You will learn a lot but you will still be a beginner. --Don’t stop coding when class is over. These aren't all of them... but those are some big ones I learned from my experience. Enjoy this video?
