In today’s build, I’m taking a break from my usual hands-on woodworking approach and diving deep into some digital woodworking! I’m making a custom Ashwood coffee table using my CNC, and while this isn’t my typical method of creating furniture, I love challenging myself to learn new techniques and explore every corner of this craft. Working with a CNC feels completely different from traditional tools. It demands a new mindset, different problem-solving skills, and a fresh understanding of how wood behaves when precision machining is involved. It’s definitely challenging in its own unique way, but that’s exactly what makes it exciting. I’m constantly trying to push myself, experiment with new methods, and discover my own style within this industry. Throughout this build, I’ll be taking you through the full process from design to CNC machining to assembly and finish, while using a lineup of amazing tools that help make this project come together smoothly.
