Wouldn't it be nice if we could save all of that wasted exhaust heat from our cycles for something useful? If only people needed to regularly heat things. Wait! We do! Cogeneration is the biggest "well duh" moment in engineering. We need raw heat to keep our homes comfortable and also for smelting, desalination, waste disposal, etc. Cogeneration simply says after we have produced the power, let's use the left over heat to well...heat things!
